The MLK Grande Parade is One Of The Largest Multicultural Event In The Nation In Celebration Of The National King Holiday Observance. Its Purpose Is To Promote Racial/Cultural Harmony. The 2013 MLK Grande Parade's Theme " Excellence In Achievement" Will Recognize The Accomplishments Of The Parade Participants While Remembering The Message Of Dr. King Of Justice and Equality. The Parade Will Originate In Houston's Midtown On San Jacinto Street & Elgin Street Geginning @ 10:00 AM And Will have A 2.0 Hr. Duration Along A 2.0 Mi. Parade Route.
