THE CENTER is thrilled to announce the fourth annual “Halloween Bash” Carnival, chaired by Amy Urquhart, with co-chairs Lauren Allen and Kristen Nix will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. This spooktacular family carnival at Autrey Park, located on the grounds of THE CENTER, is an annual event eagerly anticipated by Houston’s kids. Children will have an assortment of activities to entertain themselves with such as moonwalk, train rides, petting zoo, face painting, clowns and more. Chick-fil-A, always a favorite with Houston’s youngest set, will be catering the event. Individual tickets are $45, a family of four is $150, a family of 6 is $180 and underwriting opportunities range from $250 to $5000. For more information regarding this spooktacular fun family event please contact Cindy Rodriguez at 713/525-8484 or visit http://www.TheCenterHouston.org/bash. For media inquiries, please contact Christina Sacco at Smith & Sacco Public Relations at 713/627-8777 or email smith.sacco@gmail.com. Proceeds raised from this event will benefit THE CENTER, which is a private not for profit agency that provides opportunities which promote individual choice, personal growth and community involvement for adults with developmental disabilities and those needing similar services so that they may achieve their maximum potential. The mission of The Center Foundation is to assure that The Center has the necessary financial resources to meet the needs of persons it serves; to improve public awareness of and support for adults with developmental disabilities; and to operate a LifeCare Program that offers guardianship, advocacy and trust services, and monitors the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities enrolled in the program.
