Race Day Packet Pickup
If you are from out of town and can only register or pick up your packet race day, please note that race day packet pickup starts at 6:00 a.m. Please plan to arrive early and please be prepared to wait in line. You may have a friend/family member pick up your packet for you at Sun & Ski Sport during the packet pickup times listed above.
Safe Medication Disposal
We are partnering with the Coalition of Behavioral Health Services to provide a safe medication disposal at the race. Bring all your old Prescription/Over-Counter-Medication and dispose of them properly. The safe medication disposal will be available during the entire event.
The 5K race will be chip-timed. Disposable chips will be provided.
Timed participants will no longer have to register their timing chip at packet pickup or have it removed at the finish line. The disposable tag attaches to your shoe. Because of this new system, runners may no longer wear their own in the race.
5K: The First Overall Male and Female will receive a special prize package.
5K Course Restrictions
Course is on flat, concrete-surfaced city streets. Our insurance requirements prohibit roller blades, skates, strollers, or baby joggers from the 5K runs. Strollers and baby joggers may be used in the walks.
Parking for race participants and volunteers is available at Uptown Park. Uptown Park can be accessed on race morning by turning onto Uptown Park Blvd. off of Post Oak Blvd. (Starbuck is on the corner). You will be directed to the entrance on the South end of Uptown Park near Champs Americana. There will be designated parking area and maps will be included in your packets. Please note that prior to the start of the race all other entrances are closed. All entrances to Uptown Park will be closed as early as 6:00 a.m. so please arrive early to get the best parking spot!
Post Race Party
Join us after the race for refreshments at the Post Race Party located in the Uptown Park parking lot in front of the University Co-Op Houston. There will be entertainment, food, refreshments and a variety of vendors!!
Thank you to Rick Fields of State Farm, Sun & Ski Sports, Road ID and Defensive Training Center.

The Antibiotic Awareness Foundation of Texas (AAFTX) advocates to raise awareness of antibiotics. When to properly use antibiotics, the different types and potential side effects in society and agriculture. We use information that is readily available from the CDC, as well as facts provided by other reliable resources. We plan to work directly with other antibiotic foundations around the US to raise awareness through educational events and fundraisers.
