Law Park at the Bayou City Event Center. Our featured artist of the evening will be world renowned jazz pianist Mr. Jason Moran.  Jason is one of the most creative jazz artist of his time and is well respected in his genre. To his credit, he has 8 albums since 2000 on the Bluenote Jazz Label, 2010 MacArthur Fellow(Genius Award) and the triple-crown winner of Downbeat Magazine’s 2011 Critics Poll.  A graduate of the acclaimed jazz programs at the Manhattan School of Music and Houston’s High School of the Performing and Visual Arts, Jason now presides as the Kennedy Center‘s Artistic Advisor for Jazz and serves on the piano faculty of the New England Conservatory. He has gained worldwide notoriety in his genre and is currently working on a documentary (Grammar) that highlights the nuances of jazz and hip hop.  Date: FRIDAY NOVEMBER 2, 2012Location: Bayou City Event Center                      9401 Knight Road                      Houston, TX 77045 Time: Doors open at 6:00 p.m. 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.             Private V.I.P.
