HOUSE OF BLUES PARTNERS WITH CITY WIDE CLUB TO DONATE 1700 MEALS TO THE ANNUAL ‘THANKSGIVING BIG SUPERFEAST’ AT THE GEORGE R. BROWN CONVENTION CENTER The Event is Expected to Feed More Than 25,000 People on Thanksgiving Day. Donation Efforts Kick Off With A Food Drive Benefit Concert Hosted by 107.5 The Eagle on Friday, November 9. (HOUSTON, TX – November 1, 2012) House of Blues, Houston’s premier live music venue, has partnered with City Wide Club to donate at least 1700 meals to the annual “Thanksgiving Big Superfeast” at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Additionally, House of Blues will provide volunteers and arrange for live entertainment at the event. Organized by City Wide Club, The Thanksgiving Big Superfeast feeds more than 25,000 people every Thanksgiving. The partnership kicks off with a day-long benefit concert at House of Blues on Friday, November 9. Hosted by 107.5 FM The Eagle, the show will feature many of Houston’s favorite original classic rock tribute bands. Guests are asked to make a donation of non-perishable food items in lieu of purchasing a ticket. The show is scheduled to begin at noon, and will be in the Crossroads at House of Blues restaurant. For those that are unable to attend but wish to donate, House of Blues will be collecting donated food items all week, beginning on Thursday, November 1st. Curbside collection will be available at the venue’s main entrance on Caroline Street. 4pm - 5:30pm Spare Heart 6:00pm - 7:30pm (Highway to Hell - AC/DC tribute) 8:00pm - 10:00pm (Project X)
