Virtuosi of Houston, a premier young artists’ chamber orchestra, opens its 17th Season with a performance of selections from Mozart, Bach, Debussy, and Czerny. Virtuosi of Houston‘s 50 talented musicians, aged 11 to 18, audition for selection based on their ability to play at the exemplary level required in a smaller chamber orchestra. The orchestra is directed by Moores School of Music University of Houston professors Franz Anton Krager and Andrzej Grabiec, the founding Artistic Directors and Conductors of Virtuosi of Houston, and guest conductor Monzer Hourani. Virtuosi’s unparalleled music education and performance training programs are specifically designed for serious students focused on careers as professional musicians. $20 General Admissions, $15 Parents and Seniors, $10 Students
