This day-long seminar, featuring five eminent scholars from the United States and India, has been organized by Indira Peterson, the David B. Truman Professor of Asian Studies, Mount Holyoke College. The event will be inaugurated by the Consul General of India in Houston, the Honorable Harish Parvathaneni; and Nandita Harish, who will light the traditional lamp. The program includes a dance demonstration by Rathna Kumar in the Nidhika and Pershant Mehta Arts of India Gallery, and a reception.
