UNAFF was conceived in 1998 at Stanford University by film critic Jasmina Bojic in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. UNAFF screens documentaries by international filmmakers addressing human rights, environmental themes, population, migration, women’s issues, refugees, homelessness, racism, health, universal education, war and peace.
