TNT is a group of individuals who come together every week training to participate in a sports endurance event with the goal of raising money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS). LLS is committed to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Our team is currently training for a single day century ride (111 miles) in Tucson, Arizona on November 17, 2012.This group displays such enthusiasm and dedication for their cause. Our team trains together weekly and before each ride there is a "mission moment"; a sharing of personal involvement or connection with someone who has blood cancer. These are messages of tragedy, success, hope and progress. They are reminders that we are there to raise funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. Some of our coaches and team members are either currently battling cancer or are survivors of this horrible disease. With your support, we can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families. If you know someone who has had leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease or myeloma, chances are the LLS was there to assist them or their family in a variety of ways.Where does the money go?In fiscal year 2010 LLS was able to: Invest $72 million, which includes funding for 103 new grants to researchers in academic institutions and $8 million in contracts through the LLS Therapy Acceleration Program Support 347 research projects in the United States, Canada and 9 other countries Provide financial assistance to patients Sponsor scientific conferences around the country Produce educational materials and videos Run dozens of Family Support Groups nationwidePlease note your donation receipt will be sent to you after the event.
