2012 Nobel Peace Prize-nominee Choir aims to share its message of peace, tolerance and the beauty of diversity with all Houstonians through the universal language of music.
The Choir is composed of people from different religions and ethnicities and has given over 100 concerts both in Turkey and abroad including New York, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Vienna, Athens and Zurich. As proof of its multi-cultural identity, the Choir sings hymns and songs in six different languages: Hebrew, Italian, Arabic, Armenian, Latin, and Turkish. As a result of their continuous efforts to tell a story of peace, tolerance and solidarity rooted in diversity, The Civilizations Choir of Antioch has been nominated for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize.
The Choir is now touring the United States and will perform in Hobby Center Houston on December 2, 2012.
