On the first day of December, First Colony Mall and The Cheesecake Factory host Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 10 a.m. All sorts of fun are planned for the holiday festivities, including carolers to lead everyone in song. There will be breakfast treats for little guests and coffee for adults. Santa pops in for a visit around 9:30 a.m., and he will read his favorite book ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Adults are welcome to bring cameras to snap candid photos. In the spirit of sharing, each child who attends should bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate that will be donated to Toys for Tots – Fort Bend. Representatives of Toys for Tots, including one of the Marine coordinators for the city, will be at the breakfast to thank guests for donations. Guests are asked to donate one toy for each child in attendance. An adult must stay during breakfast with Santa. The Cheesecake Factory is in The Courtyard on the north side of the shopping center. Guests are asked to call The Cheesecake Factory at 281.313.9500 to make a reservation. More holiday activities, too, including: Every through December 17 – Pet Nights. Pet owners are invited to bring their four-legged friends to come by and have a photo taken with Santa. First Colony Mall has Pet Nights scheduled Mondays, November 26, December 3, 10 and 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. [Cats and dogs on a leash or in an appropriate carrier only, please. Animals, other than those servicing the disabled, are not allowed in the shopping centers except on Pet Nights. Pet owners are asked to use the entrance between Macy’s and Pottery Barn, located on The Courtyard side of the shopping center. Saturday, December 8 – The Elf Academy. Lessons in how to be an elf are taught by Santa’s helpers and students will become a ‘certified elf’ by the end of class. The Elf Academy, compliments of First Colony Mall, is from 2 to 4 p.m. in Dillard’s court. Saturday, December 15 –Jingle Bell Choir. Santa’s elves will be teaching children and adults how to play holiday hand bells. The classes, compliments of First Colony Mall, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. in Dillard’s court. Bells and other equipment provided. Toys for Tots collection boxes. Two collection boxes will be in place at First Colony Mall for shoppers who want to donate a toy to the organization. One is near Forever 21 and the second is near Santa in the jcpenney court. The Toys for Tots boxes will be at the center now through Monday, December 24.
