As required by Section 80.20(b)(1) of the Licensed Court Interpreter Administrative Rules, a person seeking to be licensed as a court interpreter must, prior to filing an by Text-Enhance"> by Text-Enhance"> by Text-Enhance" href="http://www.gracielazozaya.com/TDLR_Orientation_Class.html">application with the department, satisfactorily complete a department approved orientation course of at least six hours.
This requirement is for applications filed on or after October 15, 2012.
TDLR has approved our course for potential Licensed Court Interpreters in the State of Texas.
NEXT CLASS: JANUARY 19, 2013
HOUSTON, TX. This class will give you an overview of the knowledge and skills needed for courtroom interpreting, as well as a review of the Ethics for Judiciary Interpreters, some basic legal terminology and an overview of the Texas law enforcement, corrections and courts systems. This class is not language-specific. It is taught entirely in English. People from all language pairs are welcome.
Lunch on your own. There will be a 1 hour lunch break.
Class duration is 8 hours
