Class Size: 7 StudentsLearn the basics of photography and how to begin using these tools as means of visually articulating thoughts and expressions. This session will provide you with an understanding of how to manually control your camera instead of letting auto settings make all of the decisions for you. Learn the where, what, and how of camera functions such as aperture selection, shutter speed, ISO and white balance, basic controls that can have a huge impact on the photographs you are taking. Besides these in-camera tools, this session will also introduce to you different techniques for composing your photograph to be more visually dynamic. Receive valuable feedback on your photographs in instructor led verbal critiques and share sessions to improve your technique and conceptual effectiveness. You will be introduced to historical and contemporary photographers; be inspired and gain perspective of the work you are creating. Take your favorite image with you as professionally printed photo. This is a great introductory class for 14-18 year olds just learning how to use their digital SLR camera. Equipment Needed:Digital SLR cameraFile storage - such as a flash drive
