Session II will begin with quick review of the manual controls on your SLR camera, although students should come into this session with a basic understanding. A hands on comparison of the digital vs. analog photo worlds will include working with a pinhole film camera, scanning film to work with digitally, and images captured with your DSLR in camera RAW. You will learn to refine your digital imagery through Adobe Photoshop and Bridge, including proper resolution settings, use of the tools, menus, and layers, color controls, digital retouching, and composite image creation. Group critiques and assignments led by the instructor will address how to compose a well‐balanced and effective image, introduce you to historical and contemporary photographers, and allow you to sample different approaches to creating. Proper workflow practices will be utilized to prepare your favorite image for an introduction to the professional digital photo printing process. This is a great introductory class for 14-18 year olds who want to expand their basic knowledge of to use their digital SLR camera. Equipment Needed:
