"Remember the Ladies"
Following up on the success of the summer lecture series "New York, New York, Bayou Bend presents a series of talks on women’s history in the United States. Topics include a survey of the women in Bayou Bend’s portrait collection; a colonial-era history of cosmetics and self-adornment, a closer look at a rare 18th-century sampler and the artist; and a study of Ima Hogg as an art collector.Admission
All lectures take place at Bayou Bend's Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor and Education Center. The lectures are free with admission to Bayou Bend; free for MFAH Members, staff, and volunteers.

Following each lecture, guests are invited to join a docent-led tour of the Bayou Bend Collection that focuses on objects made in New York City.
