Children's Museum of Houston celebrates Dr. Seuss’s birthday with weeklong fun!  What:Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel spent a lifetime dedicated to the pursuit of learning through imagination. The Children's Museum of Houston invites you to celebrate the life and times of the literary genius who taught the world “the more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you’ll go.”  Dr. Seuss’s birthday is March 2. On-Going Activities:Bartholomew and the Oobleck:  Discover this great book and explore the ooey gooey Oobleck from the story with your own hands at the Science Station!Cat In the Hat–apults:  The Cat in the Hat takes a dreary day and brings out the fun! Imagine the excitement as our red-and-white-striped wonder flies through the air at Inventor’s Workshop.Gerald McBoing Boing Flipbook:  Take part in this optical illusion activity making a book featuring the character Gerald McBoing Boing at Junktion.Hear a Who Like Horton:  Drop by Junktion and make elephant ears like Horton’s and learn about Dr. Seuss’s message:  “A person’s a person no matter how small”.If I Ran the Zoo:  Gerald McGrew has many interesting animals in his zoo. What animals would you have if YOU ran the zoo? Make your own zoo at Junktion.The Cat in the Pattern Hats:  “It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how.”  Learn about number patterns while creating your own Cat in the Hat top hat at the ExxonMobil Math Cart.Dr. Seuss Pop-Up Cards: Stop by the Alexander Art Academy and wish Dr. Seuss a happy birthday by creating a pop-up birthday card.Green Eggs and Ham:  Make some delicious “green eggs and ham” and learn all about the importance of trying out new foods at the Power Science Lab.***Activities, events and times subject to change.  MUSEUM HOURS: Tue. – Sat.: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sun: Noon – 6 p.m. Second Saturday of every month opens at 9 a.m. for members. General Museum admission: $9 per person and $8 for seniors 65+ and for military personnel.
