Join H-GAC in celebrating more than a decade of educating citizens about clean air options during the annual Fresh Air Friday: A Picnic on the Plaza. Fresh Air Friday, now in its 11th year, is a lunchtime picnic and live concert that promotes clean air alternatives and educates attendees on ways to minimize their carbon footprint. Fresh Air Friday gets downtown employees out of their offices to enjoy food, prize giveaways and a live band at Jones Plaza. The event will also educate citizens about local clean air programs that promote the use of alternative fuels, clean-engine technology and commute alternatives. Attendees will also get a chance to pledge to try a commute alternative such as carpooling, vanpooling, teleworking, riding the bus or biking.
