OverNite Software Surfside Beach Marathon & Half Marathon. The only Marathon in the US run entirely on the beach. The sand is firm, and relatively flat. Normally, your shoe will leave about a 1 cm impression in the sand. Afterward, they feed you well, usually including catered BBQ. This year their menu is yet to be announced, but it will not disappoint. They also have smoothies and other goodies after the race. They have unique awards, and medals for all finishers of the Marathon and the Half.
