Paws in the Park provides a great opportunity for animal lovers to come out and watch a variety of demonstrations and competitions. Each year the event begins with the HEB Plus! Pet and Owner Fun Run. Register today to compete in the 1K/3K/5K races! You have the option to run with or without your 4-legged friend. Event Details Date: Saturday, March 23, 2013 Location: Independence Park, 3919 Liberty Drive, Pearland, TX 77581 Parking: Free parking onsite Check in: 8am - 9:30am Race begins @ 10am Early Registration - deadline March 22, 2013 Register online now Register in person at the Parks and Recreation Office, 4141 Bailey Road, Pearland, TX 77584 Late registration will be available onsite the day of the race from 8am - 9:30am for $25.00 Day of Race Check-in: 8am - 9:30am (white tent near Pearland Parkway) Race start: 10am (white tent near Pearland Parkway) Race hospitality: 10am - 12pm (white tent near Pearland Parkway) Awards presentation: 12pm (main stage - under pavilion) After the race stick around and enjoy the 50+ exhibitors, Dock Diving Competition, US Dog Disc Nationals, Doggy Fashion Show, Agility Demos, Flyball and more! Awards First place awards will be given in the following categories: 1K - Child w/ pet, 1K - Child w/out pet 3K - Child w/ pet, 3K - Child w/out pet, 3K - Adult w/pet, 3K Adult w/out pet 5K - Child w/ pet, 5K- Child w/out pet, 5K - Adult w/ pet, 5K Adult w/out pet Child - 14yrs & under, Adult - 15yrs and older Chip Timing All races will be chip timed. You will pick up your chip on the race morning. When you pick up your chip, you will be given a twist tie to tie the chip to your shoelaces on your shoes. When you cross the finish line, please be sure to have one of our volunteers remove your timing device. For proper scoring it is very important that your run the race you registered for.
