NFVR is organizing a series of fundraising events to amplify awareness about veteran unemployment, and how NFVR works for veterans in the Oil and Gas industry. The inaugural event is a two day rally planned for April 25 & 27th at the Red Door Midtown and Rice University's football stadium (respectively), in Houston,TX. Collectively we refer to these activities as The NFVR Houston Energizer. The core of the Energizer is a physical competition similar to the US Military’s Physical Fitness Test, in which teams will compete in a variety of (mostly) military-inspired physical fitness contests. Veterans, celebrities and professional athletes and cheerleaders will be competing and cheering side by side with participants. BUILD TEAMWORK AND PROMOTE CAMARADERIE Sports teams spend the majority of their time practicing their teamwork. Like sports teams, business teams must work together in order to deliver winning results. However, business teams rarely dedicate the time or resources to cultivate team skills amongst employees. Aren’t you tired of your co-workers fumbling the ball? Team members will help train each other in preparation for the Energizer, cheer one another on through the individual contests on event day, and like the military, work together as a cohesive unit in the team contests. Since nobody knows teamwork and camaraderie better than our veterans, each Energizer team will be assigned at least one veteran to lead the way. THINK YOU CAN’T HANDLE IT? HIT THE GYM! The point of the Energizer is to have FUN, get HEALTHY, and support VETERANS. Nobody is going to judge you for only being able to pump out half a push up. Look at it as a personal fitness goal for yourself and utilize our celebrity trainer training guides to help you prepare! WANT TO SEE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS COMPETE?  SIGN THEM UP! NFVR welcomes friends and family of company sponsors to create and join teams and compete alongside the rest of the playing field. Basically, anybody you’ve ever wanted to say “Drop and give me twenty!” to sounds like someone you should invite to join your team.
