The party extravaganza will open at Noon and the party will rock until 5:00pm to help promote rescue awareness. “The party is designed to benefit Houston PetTalk advertising sponsors as well as give businesses in our community the opportunity to familiarize the public with their products and services and to promote Rescue awareness” states Michelle Mantor, editor and publisher of Houston PetTalk Magazine. “This year’s event will feature our third annual “Rescue Me!” parade where Rescue groups create floats and can win prizes of pet food, veterinary care, training and other services valued over $10,000. The event will showcase over 60 of Houston’s leading pet businesses including retail shops, pet resorts, health facilities, pet food manufacturers, training and much more. Plus, Channel 11's Great Day Houston’s Deborah Duncan will emcee the opening followed by Channel 13’s Casey Curry and CBS radio personality Laura Reynolds of KILT, Mix and SportsRadio. At this year’s event we’ll have a special guest appearance from TLC’s “The Little Couple” Bill and Jen Klein. Plus the ever-popular canine costume contest or the new Owner/Pet look-a-like contest and win big! “This is our fourth year of the event” says Desiree Lonsway, creator of MyFuzzbook.com, a social network designed specifically for pet owners, “last year’s event was a huge success with Mayor Parker as our parade grand Marshal along with over 6,000 people and their canine companions”.
