Virginia Willis, Chef; Cookbook Author; Culinary Instructor and Bill Nancarrow, Executive Winemaker, Duckhorn Vineyards (For Ages 21 & Up) FEATURED CHEF. DEMONSTRATION. Discover just how delicious Duckhorn wines can be when paired with a French-Southern fusion menu prepared by IACP finalist for Best Cooking School Teacher, 2013, Virginia Willis. You're familiar with her two books, Bon Appetit, Y'all and Basic to Brilliant, Y'all: 150 Refined Southern Recipes and Ways to Dress Them Up for Company; saw her on Chopped; and have probably joined us for classes in which she has taught you to apply traditional French techniques to some of her family's favorite Southern dishes. Bill Nancarrow, a native New Zealander, who has worked in vineyards ranging from Africa to Europe to England and back to New Zealand, oversees the cultivation of Duckhorn Wine Company's Napa Valley Estate Vineyards as well as the production of Duckhorn Vineyard wines. His philosophy can be stated in a nutshell: the flavor is in the grapes, which explains his focus on the growing conditions throughout their Napa Valley property.
