CORE Performance Co. presents an original, site-specific work in the Dan Flavin Installation at Richmond Hall. Drawing inspiration from Flavin's process and philosophy as well as his use of light and color, the work will incorporate the lines of filtered ultraviolet lamps and the pattern of the fluorescent tubes along the full length of the room. above and below will act as a kinesthetic portal to Flavin's work for museum guests.
The dancers will engage with, respond to and be affected by the installation, and become a human element, if only briefly, of Flavin's work. Admission is free; tickets are required.
