Prepare to be mesmerized by sound, color and light in an immersive experience at Discovery Green April 29 - May 5.
Don’t miss this Houston first when Britain’s Architects of Air debuts Exxopolis, a massive walk-in sculpture designed to provide visual surprises and excitement. Architects of Air, made possible in part by the support of the Kinder Foundation, will be the first signature event at Discovery Green in a year of events in honor of its fifth anniversary.
Exxopolis is a 30 foot tall series of giant inflatable domes connected by a maze of winding paths. Spanning half a football field, the structure is inspired by natural geometry and Islamic architecture. The visually overwhelming experience is created when sunlight streams into the inflatable domes and pathways, bringing with it all kinds of bright colors and shapes. This signature event, appropriate for all ages, will be held on the Jones Lawn at Discovery Green in downtown Houston April 29-May 5.
From, Hong Kong to Honolulu, Taipei to Tel Aviv, Sydney to Singapore, the monumental walk-in sculptures of Architects of Air have enchanted audiences around the world. Since 1992, more than 2 million visitors in 38 countries across 5 continents have immersed themselves in the spectacular, luminous world of Architects of Air.
