Kids | Family,
Bring the whole family to the Nature Discovery Center for a fun and informative presentation about the reptiles that share our environment in and around the Houston area. We’ll learn some fascinating life history and identification of snakes, lizards, turtles, and alligators… oh, and there will be live animals!
Join us at 6:30 pm for crafts, reptile themed snacks, and a very brief hike for the kids. Nature Discovery Center Staff Naturalist Eric Duran’s reptile talk will begin at 7 pm.
Eric Duran has taught science classes, led nature hikes, and cared for the educational animal collection as a naturalist at the Nature Discovery Center for over 8 years. He has worked in environmental education around Houston at the Houston Zoo, Armand Bayou Nature Center, and Moody Gardens. He has experience in field biology and nature guiding around the country at various National Wildlife Refuges and nature sanctuaries, as well as in the rainforests of Latin America and on the Arctic tundra of Alaska. Eric is an avid birdwatcher, herpetologist, and science blogger.
June, July, & August Nature Nights to be announced later this spring. Donations accepted. Suggested donation of $5/family.
