It is an ethnic fusion folk dance performed during festive occasions such as weddings and other social gatherings for fun and celebration.Larry and Tikie Kriticos were born and raised in Galveston, and are first-generation Greek Americans. Their father, Gus, came from the island of Patmos and opened the Seawall Cafe on 17th Street (1946) in Galveston. Their mother Nora's family came from Sparta.They credit their father (Seawall Cafe) and their uncle (The Golden Greek) for teaching them to follow in their footsteps as great restauranteurs. In their kitchens, Larry and Tikie were taught Gulf Coast, Creole, and Greek cooking styles.Olympia prepares fresh food daily, and features family recipes that have been passed down for generations. Olympia's promise is that they'll continually test new items, as well as maintain the integrity of the family recipes which have continued to please for four generations.
