"Pepperoni and worms please!" Tracing the origins of pizza as an example, this hands-on presentation illustrates the importance of "dirt" to kids, showing that we'd all starve without healthy soil. We use hand puppets, pizza ingredients, and tubs of compost with live earthworms, beetles, & snails to prove our points. We finish up with live, dirt-loving box turtles-HANDS ON programming!
