7 pm - 9 pm | $10 Unwind and enjoy an evening with one of the most innovative theatre companies in Houston. A story, a thought, or even just a feeling shared by an audience member starts a chain reaction of improvisation among the actors of Houston Playback Theatre, who bring the story to life before the eyes of the audience. In touching, outrageous, and funny ways, an HPT performance makes audience members aware of the many connections we share but often forget. Playback Theatre makes storytellers of us all, and it gives us the rare opportunity to be spectators of our own lives. Houston Playback Theatre, inspired by the pioneering work of Jonathan Fox and Jo Salas, has staged performances at the Jung Center and throughout the Houston community. The company has brought Playback Theatre to a wide variety of Houston audiences, including groups where story sharing can be a tool for transformation, such as Family day at the MFA, and at the CAM.
