Houston’s Cy Twombly Gallery, a collaboration of the Menil Collection and Dia Art Foundation that opened in February, 1995, is the subject of a new book published by The Cy Twombly Foundation. The gallery’s drawings, paintings, and sculpture, mostly gifts of the artist, are reproduced in color. The two essays are by then-Menil director Paul Winkler, and Carol Mancusi-Ungaro, conservator of the work Twombly gave to Houston, who is now at the Whitney and the Harvard art museums. On October 13, Winkler and Mancusi-Ungaro will be at Cy Twombly Gallery to discuss and sign copies of the book.
