Come Friday night with your top 2-3 burning questions about MBTI Sttep 3. We’ll tackle them as a group. Do any of us know about the question? Do we know someone who does know more about it or a source of research on the topic? Come and put your heads together and see if we can all expand our horizons. And if we find out none of us know, we’ll develop a plan for getting more information on the topic for future meetings. We will provide coffee, ice tea and light snacks. Please be sure to register so we know how many to expect. If you can’t attend in person, but would like to participate in the discussion, you may Skype in. Just register for the Skype session and provide your Skype ID so we can get a connection set up. About the SeriesOne of the basic principles of Jungian Type is that people develop. Our innate Type provides our greatest strengths, but also leaves us with substantial blind spots. Research by Kegan and Graves shows that development occurs by expanding awareness into those innate blind spots. Conscious development starts with noticing that there are parts of our world that we literally never notice. Discussion of a complex topic by people with many Type perspectives will help us clarify our own missing pieces.Once we notice the holes, we can decide how to deal with the gaps. Our current culture tells us to go buy some development programs to hone skills in areas where we have no natural aptitude. Perhaps a more natural choice is to find a compatible group of people with complementary skills. There we can raise awareness of things we need to notice and learn when to call in a natural expert to get assistance in coping. APT Houston is starting to work on the second option. We will continue to have discussion sessions on the first Friday evening of each month. Look for announcements of future meetings.
