Chef Brandon Silva counts with 10 years of experience, ranging all from casual to fine dining,
in traditional and contemporary settings. A native Houstonian, a believer of his city, Brandon
went to the Art Institute of Houston for a Culinary Degree. After accomplishing success in many
kitchens,(Brenners, Brennans, Pesce, Bedford) Brandon fell in the heavenly kitchen (or food lab) of
Uchi Houston, where it all came together, as the pieces of his culinary puzzle.
Born and raised on the South Texas Coast, Albert Vasquez began his restaurant career at the age of 15
butchering freshly caught fish from the gulf in Port Aransas. He received his education in Business and Micro
Economics in San Antonio. Albert has aided in managing such iconic Houston restaurants such as Aries,
Gravitas, and Benjy’s in the Village. He moved back to San Antonio in 2009 to open the city’s first gastro
pub called The Monterey. In 2011 Albert was the third Chef in the San Antonio Express News history and
the youngest to receive a perfect four-star review for The Monterey. Aside from a strong business sense and
culinary talents Albert is also a musician and artist. His most recent mosaic mural is privileged to be a permanent
installation in the EaDo district of Houston.
