The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston is home to one of the largest Jewish book and arts fairs in the country. Presenting prominent and emerging authors and their books along with films and concerts, this year’s Fair takes place November 2 – 18, 2013. Opening night is with Peter Sagal from National Public Radio's "Wait...Wait... Don't Tell Me!" Sagal opens the two-week event and best-selling author and journalist, Mitch Albom closes with his new book, "The First Phone Call from Heaven."
This literary and cultural event features dozens of notable authors including Elaine Rose Glickman, "The Messiah and the Jews: Three Thousand Years of Tradition, Belief and Hope"; Letty Cottin Pogrebin, "How to be a Friend to a Friend Who's Sick"; and Allen Salkin, "From Scratch: Inside the Tumultuous Billion-Dollar World of the Food Network."
