Brazos Bookstore presents FORTUNATELY, THE MILK: A Marathon Reading! Saturday, January 18, 10am to 12noon.Join us in the new year for a marathon reading of Neil Gaiman's latest middle grade novel, FORTUNATELY, THE MILK! Guest readers and members of our staff will bring this whimsical and definitely, probably, totally true story to life.Wear your pajamas and we'll provide activities for those with short attention spans, a great selection of breakfast cereal and, fortunately, plenty of MILK!This is quite possibly the most exciting adventure ever to be written about milk since Tolstoy's epic novel War and Milk. Also it has aliens, pirates, dinosaurs and wumpires in it (but not the handsome, misunderstood kind), also a never-adequately-explained-bowl-of-piranhas, not to mention a Volcano God.Neil Gaiman is an English author of short fiction, novels, comic books, graphic novels, audio theatre and films. His notable works include the comic book series The Sandman and novels Stardust, American Gods, Coraline, and The Graveyard Book. He has won numerous awards, including the Hugo, Nebula, and Bram Stoker awards, as well as the Newbery and Carnegie medals. He is the first author to win both the Newbery and the Carnegie medals for the same work, The Graveyard Book (2008).
