Children's Museum of Houston prepares for MLK Day through "right"-eous activities.Jan. 9 - 15 With Martin Luther King, Jr. Day around the corner, the Children's Museum of Houston will begin preparing for the special day with Your Right to Rights Wonderweek. Celebrate multi-cultural differences and uniqueness, and learn about the rights of every individual through fun activities that inspire and test your knowledge. ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:The Right Snake: Create your very own snake using paper strips at Junktion.Hatch the Rights Egg: Use turtle eggs to learn about the rights everyone has that cannot be taken away - Life, Liberty, and the right to hatch - at Junktion.All Colors are Beautiful: Create your own Andy Warhol-inspired handprint pop art at the Alexander Art Academy.More Turtles Stacking: Construct and stack your own turtles by overcoming gravity and learning about weight distribution at Junktion.Some Sums: Learn problem solving skills with this domino puzzle at the ExxonMobil Math Cart.Number Flips: Are you feeling lucky? Learn about probability through this number game by rolling dice at the ExxonMobil Math Cart.Horton Hears a Who: Use your skills in listening to have fun throughout this interactive story time in the Parent Resource Library. General Museum Admission: $9 per person and $8 for seniors (ages 65 and older) and military personnel.
