Troubled actress Amanda Bynes may have left New York City, but her questionable behavior has followed her to the West Coast.
Monday night the 27-year-old allegedly tried to trespass into an LA area retirement home, and when discovered the staff called sheriff’s deputies on Amanda, who they believed to be under the influence. They initially turned her away and called her a cab but she refused the ride and tried to return back to the facility.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s office told RumorFix “Amanda Bynes was involved in a disturbance in a residential neighborhood Monday night in Thousand Oaks. Deputies investigated the incident and determined that she met the criteria of 5150 W&I (California Welfare & Institutions Code). She was detained and taken for a mental health evaluation. ”
A 5150 hold allows a qualified officer or clinician involuntary to confine a person deemed to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to him or herself or others. It usually run for a 72-hour evaluation period. We hope during this time Amanda can get some help that she desperately needs.
