Country Legends 97.1 Radio Personality Dan Gallo Inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame

Dan Gallo, morning show host on KTHT-FM/Country Legends 97.1 was inducted into the 2012 class of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, along with 13 other radio professionals.

Dan’s 43-year radio career includes memorable stops at Texas stations KILE-AM, Galveston; KENR-AM, Houston; KLOL-FM, Houston; KNUZ-FM, Houston; KILT-FM, Houston andCMG Houston stations: KHTC-FM and KTHT-FM, where he entertains his morning listeners to this day.

“It’s humbling being inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame along with many other great radio veterans,” said Dan Gallo. “I feel really blessed to do what I enjoy and continue to do daily.”

Dan’s interest of radio started in high school where he worked for a couple of local stations in the Great Lakes area and continued onto 1969 when he joined WLOX-AM Biloxi, MS while stationed at Keesler Air Force Base.

“We’re proud of Dan’s induction into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, said Mark Krieschen, CMG Houston VP and Market Manager. “The secret of Dan’s success is his undying passion and love of our business.” The induction ceremony will be held in the fall in San Antonio.
